Myles Baldwin is an award winning landscape designer and horticulturist. A graduate in landscape design from Northern Sydney Horticultural College, and trained in horticulture at the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney, Myles developed knowledge of a diverse range of plant material and a passion for period garden design, and from 2001 to 2012, was Head Gardener at historic Bronte House
Director of Myles Baldwin Design, a landscape architecture and design studio based in Sydney, Australia, Myles has been responsible for creating some of Australia’s most significant gardens and landscapes including; the historic properties Rona in Bellevue Hill, Lake House in Tasmania and Boomerang in Elizabeth Bay, to contemporary collaborations with leading national and international architectural firms, artists and designers, and projects of cultural importance such as Parliament House and Government House Sydney.
Away from design, Myles is a popular speaker and industry ambassador. Following work as a presenter on Channel 9 and writing for the Sydney’s Sunday Herald, he published his first book in 2008 with Murdoch Books; ‘Period Gardens: Landscapes for Houses with History’, this was followed by the best selling ‘Rural Australian Gardens’ in 2010, and his third book ‘Australian Coastal Gardens’ in 2013, also with Murdoch Books.
In 2013 Myles founded the Australian Garden Show Sydney with Anthony Bastic and AGB Events.
